London Fashion Week Style With Jayne Pierson

London Fashion Week is less than three weeks away and we are very excited to highlight another of our favourite designers, Jayne Pierson. Jayne is an internationally award-winning designer, having debuted her first collected for Spring/Summer 2010. She started working with the successful brand On|Off  and continued to show her collections with them the following spring, in addition to creating a fashion film shown exclusively online at Vogue Italia. Pierson was recognised by Vogue Italia as the “New Talent” for the second year in a row.

Jayne Pierson has since shown her collections at London Fashion Week as well as continuing to create various fashion films, both producing and directing them. Not only does Pierson do styling and designing for various artists, musicians, and actresses, but she also designs costumes and does art direction for other brands. In addition to her very successful career in fashion, Pierson is currently studying for her PhD as well.

London Fashion Week is the perfect time to step outside of your comfort zone and really express yourself through clothing. We’ve recreated a look from Jayne Pierson’s Autumn/Winter 2017 collection. We love the long pink coat with detailing on arms and belt, paired with these fun and interesting knee high boots to create a full look, while keeping it accessory free up top to really draw the focus to the outfit.

Faux Fur Scarf | Metallic Dress | Pink Coat | Silver Over The Knee Boots | Metallic Bag | Silver Belt

“Adding some faux fur and metallic to an outfit immediately elevates it and gives it a luxe feel”

With this look we’ve created, you can keep the focus on the coat, drawing attention to the different textures and furs, or you can add a fun dress underneath to take it a step further. This silver dress ties together all the other accessories, even though the main focus is still on the coat. We love this light pink and silver combination as in Jayne Pierson’s look.

These soft hues are the perfect colours to pair together for winter if you want to add a bit of colour, but not be too out there. Fur is also very in this season and a statement fur coat would be the perfect thing to wear to fashion week while trying to stay warm. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the highlight we did on handbag designer Luna Amani last week!
