Beautiful Skin For Everyone
Clean and fresh skin is all the more important during the summer months. We all love having beautiful skin but sadly make up, sweat and clogged pores are the biggest cause of pimples at this time of year. Luckily for us, there are a few simple and inexpensive (or free!) changes we can all make to help eliminate this. Beautiful skin really is possible an here are a few of my tips…
Everyone says it, and I know it’s boring, but I’m going to repeat it anyway… Remember to drink at least 2-3 litres of water a day. A great way to do this is to drinks a glass of water every hour. If you’re not very good at remembering, there are apps you can download to your smartphone these days that will set off subtle alerts to remind you to have a drink. Dry skin wrinkles ever so quickly, so the best gift you can give yourself (apart from a shopping trip with a Style Doctor), is to keep it moisturised from the inside.
It needn’t cost a fortune to have a good face moisturiser, so don’t get sucked in by all those miracle claims the big brands make, you’re paying for the name packaging and perfume. Do yourself a favour and buy a mid range base moisturiser from your local pharmacy and add your own vitamins to get a powerful and rich moisturiser that’s just as good as any other – add a capsule of vitamin A in the morning and a capsule of vitamin E in the evening, I guarantee you’ll see and feel a huge difference in just a couple of weeks.
Lastly, and I’m sure none of you do, but just in case – never, ever, EVER go to bed with your make up on, unless you want to wake up in the morning with a face full of pimples (and I’m pretty sure no one wants that!). Make sure it’s squeaky clean, so if you’re using wipes or cream cleansers, make sure to follow with a good toner, or a squeeze of lemon juice, however you can just rinse your face with clean water.
There we go – Beautiful skin for any budget! Why not book a make-up consultation to see if the products you’re using are right for your skin.
