Whether you’ve seen us on social media or at a personal styling session, you know the Style Doctors stylists are always on the go, ready to make today’s trends accessible to our clients. But what happens outside the sessions to make it all possible? Take a look behind the scenes into the day-to-day of our stylist assistants.
Style Doctors’ emphasis on adding a “personal” touch to our client experience transcends beyond the stylist session – we tailor all aspects of our company to give our clients insight on what it would be like to have a personal stylist. When it comes to creating social media content, our assistants search for the highest quality and attainable fashion options to showcase.
Behind The Scenes
“We want our followers on social media to get a glimpse of what it would feel like to have a personal stylist giving them advice for the day. Social media is one of the top tools we use to stay connected with our customers, and at Style Doctors we want to support our clients with advice and tips outside of sessions so you can feel your best all year round!” – Olivia, Stylist Assistant
Social media posts are filled with top style tips to provide advice for both returning clients and potential new clients. If you’ve browsed our Instagram page, you will find that almost every outfit is styled on a person – that’s because our stylists want you to know that all of our clothing suggestions and outfits are tried and tested. A piece of clothing can look different from the rail to body, but we want to visually represent the success a styling session can give, leaving our clients feeling their best.
At least once a month, our stylists go out and shoot video content for the blog, ranging from styling tips to meet-the-stylist cameos. All of our online content is to help give our followers and clients free advice and style inspiration whether they have used our styling services or not.
“As stylists, it’s our role to help offer guidance and inspiration via our blog and social media pages”
Our stylists always try on every outfit we suggest and put together on the blog. Our blog posts include much more work than putting stylish looking boards together and our stylists will only suggest items that they know work well on a body.
We feel that it’s very important to offer expert advice to our followers as the internet is now full of confusing advice for shoppers.
Style Doctors is expertly placed to offer up-to-the-minute advice based on what’s available. For our most recent video and blog content, we styled two summer style looks for different style personalities.
The Summer Maxi
Stylist Assistant Caroline, styled in a multi-coloured maxi, selected this piece that can play a versatile role with different accessories.
A common misconception about maxi length dresses is that they are only for tall and lean figures, but that is far from true.
By going for a maxi dress with a strong neckline, the eye is drawn to the upper part of the body first. A pair of hoops and some heels are perfect for a night on the town, while a maxi dress paired with cropped denim jacket is a suitable pairing for an afternoon in the park.
Accessorised Tiered Midi Look
Stylist Assistant Ellen uses chunky accessories to bring this outfit to a new level. The layered necklace helps tie in the colour of the skirt. The V-neck top slims the shoulders, while the high waisted patterned skirt provides slimming lines at the waist.
“Adding accessories to your outfits is a key aspect of summer styling. In other seasons, we naturally add layers of clothing for style and warmth, but in the summer our outfits tend to be a little more simple with fewer pieces, and therefore require more styling.” –Ellen, Stylist Assistant
