Ramadan Outfit Inspiration
Ramadan is just around the corner and we’re all ready for the celebration here in the UAE. This time is usually filled with family gatherings and Ramadan events, and Style Doctors is going to make sure that you’re stylishly dressed and feeling your best for the occasion. This blog post is dedicated to elegant yet modest Ramadan outfits to wear for this holy month.
Modest clothing has been one of the most successful sectors in the fashion industry within the Arab world, and this has led to designers from high-end to new businesses to launch their modest-wear collections. This in turn has given us in the UAE more style diversity in modest-wear, and at Style Doctors UAE, that means lots more choice for our clients.
Whilst some people might think that traditional kaftans and abayas take little styling, at Style Doctors we understand the importance of making sure every outfit is styled to perfection.
The Moroccan Kaftan
One of the many popular Ramadan clothing pieces is the Moroccan Kaftan. It’s modestly elegant and comes in countless colors and designs.
“Kaftans are usually unique with their intricate and often detailed embroidery and use of fabrics”
One of our (and my) favourite modest-wear designers of the moment is Razan Alazzouni. Her choice of taffeta fabric makes this simple piece very elegant along with its jewel embroidery at the neck. We styled a similar style kaftan with a beautiful ‘pearl and stem’ choker and pearl dangle earrings, along with a pair of embellished sling back pointed flats.
Razan Alazzouni’s gown is designed with sequin embellishments, puff sleeves, and a flare skirt making it the perfect choice for more formal Ramandan gatherings. We suggest pairing-down on accessories for this outfit with a couple of simple bracelets. To finish off the outfit, we love this nude brown colored Yuzefi dip textured bag that brings the whole outfit together. The scarf in this neutral palette will work well with the gown and will tie-in with the other accessories.
Designers like Mounay gave abayas a huge turn for its new ‘cape abaya’ style and we love the versatility of this piece. Styling this golden colored cape abaya with a white sleeveless maxi dress is a good option to work in harmony with the outfit’s modesty and simplicity. We suggest styling the abaya with a pair of gold flats and gold accessories. This cape and dress come together and would be a timeless addition to any closet. This is also a safer option in terms of color for the month of Ramadan.
“Wearing one tone head to toe is both chic and helps to elongate the body”
The Hero Piece
Leal Daccarett is making a strong style statement with this beautiful ruffle sleeve silk kaftan which features a v-neckline. This stunning electric blue color is a winner for all skin-tones and can be worn for years to come. As the dress speaks for itself, we recommend keeping the accessories simple such as these mother of pearl earrings. This bag also adds an element of artistry to the whole outfit and ties-in well with the ring.
