Our stylists have put together their suggestions of the top fashion week trends to wear before they officially come out.
Direct from the catwalk to your wardrobe, Style Doctors is here to show you how to include these top trends into your everyday style NOW.
This season fashion week had a serious orange crush. Orange reflects warmth, energy and positivity. It’s a versatile colour which suits most tones and will add a touch of warmth to your autumn wardrobe.
‘From citrus orange to burnt hues, we saw an abundance of fashion’s favourite new ‘it’ colour on and off the catwalks’
For a bolder look opt for a head to toe orange with a midi dress for a feminine look or a jumpsuit that can either be styled with another vivid colour such as purple for the accessories.
‘Orange looks great when mixing fabrics and textures such as this silk skirt and wool roll neck’
Orange leather will also be making a comeback and looks great with knitwear. Nude accessories are the perfect pairing with orange as this neutral tone helps tone down the bright shade.
Ruffles have been ever-present over the past few seasons and they don’t seem to be going away anytime soon. There is however no casual acceptance of ruffles; we often find that people love them or leave them, But despite this polarisation, ruffles are everywhere, adorning many off-the-shoulder necklines; covering hemlines, sleeves, and even pant legs.

‘But how do you style ruffles? With confidence!’
Whether you want to embrace this trend with a ruffle sleeved sweater or want to go all out ruffles, you’re sure to be on-trend with a little ruffle in your life.
Avoid too much ruffles in your wardrobe as these have a tendency to overpower the rest of the outfit. Unless you’re an ironing pro, these can also be difficult to keep looking perfect!
Sequins made a strong appearance at all the fashion weeks and like we’ve said before, this fabric is not just for the evening.
Sequins are more versatile than you think. It’s all about creating the right balance between the high shine of the sequins. Think – a knitted sweater with a sequined skirt or jeans with a sequin camisole.
‘We all have sequins in our wardrobe and they rarely get to see the light of day because people associate them with occasion and evening looks’ – Elin Mai, Style Doctors CEO
Pick one sequined item and ‘style it down’ rather than ‘style it up’. This can be as simple as adding a flat boot instead of a heel or styling with jeans rather than structured trousers.
To be ahead of the crowd, why not try to search for some orange, ruffles and sequins in your wardrobe to wear now. If you feel like you’re not making the most of your wardrobe a Home Visit session would be a great idea. During this session, your stylist can put together between 30 -100 outfits using the clothes you already have an style them into stylish looks that make you look and feel great.
