Getting Ready For London Fashion Week

Even though our service is primarily for real people with real shapes and with real budgets we also attend fashion shows and press events to prepare us for the season ahead.

We visit London Fashion Week every year to view the latest collections on the catwalks to see what trends will dominate the high streets next year. It’s our job to see which of these trends (that we’ll see over Fashion Week) are suitable for our clients next year. Often, some trends are only suitable for the catwalks, however the majority of the clothes we’ll see will in some shape or form influence what will be in the stores next Summer.

We always have been and always will be strong advocates of style over fashion and believe that your wardrobe should suit you and your personality and not just what’s ‘on trend’. We do however make sure that before the start of any season we know what looks will be entering the shops.

When next season comes around you are still dominated by trends to some extent as those clothes will dominate the stores. It’s our jobs as personal stylists make trends work for you.

There are also lots of up and coming designers that show off the catwalk at London Fashion Week. We  think it’s important to see these new designers to view what they have on offer as lots of the gorgeous pieces here may be suitable for our clients looking for something a little different.

Being stylists it’s also a great place to view some fantastic outfits off the catwalk too. As you arrive at Somerset House it’s like walking into another world full of fantastically dressed people.

The buzz around the week is great fun and it’s great to see what trends will feature for next season but for now we have lots of Autumn wardrobes to curate and create.

We’ll report about what we think the key looks next season will be in our next post.
