Pretty In Pink Style Inspiration
Have you thought about wearing pink this spring? We couldn’t take our eyes off of Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Spring/Summer 2015 runway show that happened in Paris earlier this week.
Sometimes it’s very hard to look at a model wearing haute couture and make it work for you. You can appreciate what’s on the runway but say to yourself, ‘I don’t know where I would ever wear that,’ and often times, you really never would wear it in the first place. What we get from haute couture are clues as to what the biggest trends of the upcoming year are going to be. And Lagerfeld has spoken: it’s feminine pink.
But how do you incorporate this colour into your wardrobe? We’ve chosen three must need wardrobe staples to help you pull off this colour into spring and summer.
- The pale, pink coat. Wool blend swing coats and over coats are going to help you make the transition from dreary winter to fresh spring. A pink coat can be work with neutral tones, like a white panel skirt for work and then jeans and a light, patterned top and flats for a day of running.
- The perfect, pink bag. A leather or patent pink handbag can help you put a dash of pink with almost any outfit. Try a single strapped pink blush bag with gold accents, or an ashen pink handbag with black detail. A pink bag works with almost any outfit as you can pair it with monochrome, neutral and soft blue or green.
- The pleasant, pink shoe. An easy way to toss this pink in your wardrobe is to put in on your feet. Pink satin trainers can be easy on your feet and appealing to your eyes – pair these shoes with light pants and sharp tailoring, like a collared blouse.
No matter what staple you chose (if not all), pink is guaranteed to be a big colour this season. It’s a refreshing colour and easy to pair with many outfits you already have in your closet.
