Sustainable Summer Style

Following on from our last blog post about the fashion breakfast we held in Miami with Antidote, this blog is dedicated to some of the outfits showcased by our stylists during the fashion event in Miami.

About Antidote

Carefully selecting products that are both beautiful and kind to the environment, Antidote puts a lot of thought and care into their product selection, working with brands that have personality, creative design, and of course conscious production.

“We aim to create a playful and effortless approach to sustainable fashion. Offering contemporary styles that uphold quality design” – Sophie Zembra, Founder

During the fashion breakfast, Style Doctors stylists Aricia and Sophie styled various outfits from the Antidote Summer collection for our Miami audience.

Boho Chic

For this outfit, our stylists paired a crocheted skirt with a berry red top and cat eye sunglasses. This is a such stylish spring look and the skirt is both directional and wearable.

This is kind of skirt that you could pack for a holiday and wear during the day over a swimsuit and at night with a body or camisole.

To shift this look from casual to more dressed up you can add a leather jacket and gold jewellery and a pop of colour on the lips.

Blues In Different Hues

Blue in any shade is always in in Vogue, especially paired with items that complement the shade. Blue on blue and head to toe tonal dressing a sure way to make you look effortless. Even on the hottest of days you’re bound to stay cool in this outfit!

We particularly love the denim skirt which is a stylish take on a classic. The shell buttons elevate this wardrobe staple and the length is perfect for everyday worn with sandals, sneakers or wedges.

The skirt is such a wardrobe staple. It not only ticks the sustainable fashion box but also the multi-wear, multi-use boxes too.

Pastels and Patterns

This jade green mini dress is a winner on a silhouette and colour front. The puff sleeves and flattering cut of the dress helps accentuate curves and make legs appear longer. The hand-made floral pattern on the dress adds a playful element.

Wear this with flat sandals for a daytime summer look and style with a belt if you want to further enhance your waist shape.

Don’t save this dress for summer, as it can be worn all year round with some boots and a denim or leather jacket.

The Shape Enhancer

If you’ve ever wanted to have long legs (let’s face it who hasn’t!) these are the trousers for you. Wide leg trousers tend to get a bit of a bad rep as they’re often not worn with the right items. The trick is to tuck-in tops to further enhance the leg length and waist shape.

The way that these trousers are cut and nipped-in around the waist looks amazing on so many different body types and can easily be worn casually and formally.

Paired with a white blouse and jean jacket, this look can be worn to almost any type of event; A concert, a brunch, a date… and so much more.
