The Wet Look Hairstyle
This year, it is all about rocking the wet look hairstyle. You might think it’s near impossible to get the damp look runway models have been sporting – but don’t fret.
This style is all about convenience. It’s great for those upcoming hot days when you don’t want to spend 15-20 minutes blow drying your hair. You can also utilize this trend when you’ve woken up late but still want a trendy ‘do. As if you don’t need any more convincing, you can also use this hairstyle on day 3 or 4 of not washing your hair.
The key to not looking sweaty is to use a product that adds shine but doesn’t flake. You need to know what look you’re planning on going with, too. We’ve decided on two simple styles; the polished and the textured look. Both are extremely easy to style and wear, which is good because these looks are perfect for when you’re short on time (or lazy).
Here are two examples:
- The polished look: Smooth down your wet (towel dried) hair and make sure you remove extra bumps (we would recommend a bristle brush). Use a styling pomade and distribute it evenly through your hair. Next, style it all down or into a low ponytail. Then finish your look with a shine mist.
- The textured look: Towel dry your hair and apply a texturizing wax through your strands. You can twist your hair then into an edgy up ‘do or wear it all wet. If you can’t decide, you can also wear it half wet and dry.
The wet look hairstyle is convenient and versatile for everyone. No matter what your hair type is, there’s an easy (and we mean really easy) way to style it wet.
