Autumn Boots Must Have Styles
September is finally here and that means boot weather is here too! As the warmer weather ends we look forward to investing in some new staples for our Autumn/Winter wardrobes. Footwear is the perfect buy to start the new season and a great pair of boots is a must have. First of all, we recommend having a look at what you already have and ask yourself 1) Can I get another season out of these or are they looking a bit worse for wear 2) Do I need to update my style for the new season. If you struggle to find the perfect pair don’t worry because we’re going to share with you the seasons must have styles.
A cowboy style ankle boot is a perfect throw on shoe that can go with so many looks, it also offers a little bit of a heel giving you extra height whilst still maintaining the comfort factor. They are great for a casual look and can be paired with jeans, a dress, or a skirt, the outfit options are endless. With the seventies trend in full flow this season there will be an abundance of this style around too. That doesn’t mean that you have to go full-on seventies as an ankle boot can be worn with almost any look.
If you’re looking for a smart casual shoe and would like to be able to take it from day to night then a stiletto ankle boot is for you. Not only will they elongate your legs but they will boost your confidence and have you feeling glamorous all the time. A classic black leather style is perfect to accompany your winter outfits.
Stylist Tip: ‘Having a boot with little or no detail will help elongate the legs, especially when they are the same colour as your bottoms (tights or trousers).’ Main Image: What the people style | Shop the look: Black jeans | Snood | Chloe Drew | Eye Palette | Ankle Boots | Silver Watch | Chunky Sweater | Leather Biker | Nail Polish | Belt
The colder days call for long length boots. Whether you opt for a knee high or over the knee boot, you’ll look stylish as well as keeping your legs warm. A flat riding style boot is a practical option and is perfect for a country chic look, pair with a knitwear jumper, field coat and chunky snood. An over the knee style will offer your outfits a bit of an edge, we personally love a suede leather in black, tan and burgundy. Style with a pair of skinny jeans, a white oversized shirt and a leather jacket for that biker look.
Stylist Tip: ‘Long boots are an investment and ask yourself if you can see yourself wearing these for a few seasons. If they are simply an on trend style, be wary of spending too much.’
