As you might know already, Style Doctors have been hosting a series of events at the Nakheel Mall, the brand new shopping destination in Dubai. Over the course of three weeks and six events, our personal stylists worked hard to put together stylish and wearable outfits to showcase to our audience.
But how do you make a small amount of clothes (or a capsule wardrobe) go a long way?
You invest in the right pieces and style them differently each time your wear them. This maximises an items life and ensures you look and feel different every time you wear them.
You’ll notice that all of the pieces our personal stylists put together work very well together to create a perfect mix and match wardrobe without wasting a single item.
The Slip Dress
This black slip dress with lace neckline is a twist on a classic LBD. Everyone needs a little black dress in their wardrobe! Versatile, timeless and will make you your money back quicker than any other item you have in your wardrobe.
For the first look, our stylists created a stylish office look and matched the dress with a checked formal jacket.
The outfit is complemented with a hat and a “Bottega style” clutch to complete the elegant yet professional look.
To top it up, other accessories such as the gold necklace and a luxe feel to the overall look.
Playing with fabrics such as check with the silk is a great way to add depth and interest to an outfit.
The versatile black slip dress can also be complemented with a leather jacket to complete this edgy look.
A simple and basic accessory like a belt around the waist can help to round off the minimalistic yet sophisticated total black look!
This multifunctional slip dress is an item that keeps on giving! You can make it professional, edgy or classic.
For the last look, our stylists combined the dress with an oversized white shirt underneath to bring out its classic elegance.
We suggest pairing with a brown tortoiseshell handbag for the day or with a black clutch for the evening. And of course, a very elegant pair of black sandals to dress up the look.
Styling something underneath such a delicate dress may not be the obvious choice, however it certainly makes the lace detail pop!
Animal Print
Another timeless piece is this animal print blouse. This is a print that stands the test of time and can be worn in both small doses or to the extreme.
Most of us have an animal print item somewhere in our closet – be it a scarf, coat or blouse and year after year it comes back in style
If you don’t own animal print, it’s a great addition to any wardrobe. We love this high neck blouse in a large leopard print that our stylists paired with straight jeans and high heels.
An easy, effortless look as the print does that talking!

You may have noticed that our stylists used this black belt a lot. A simple belt can change (and improve) a silhouette, make an outfit appear more put together and elevate your overall look.

The Biker Jacket
Turning our attention back to the must-have leather biker jacket, its versatility means it can be matched with all of the outfits.
A must-have in any wardrobe, this timeless piece can cross over from casual to smart looks with ease
For the winter and colder climates, it can even be worn under an overcoat.
Layering is in fact something that we help educate all of our clients on whether they live in a hot climate like Dubai or Miami or colder like London or New York.
When you master the art of layering, you’ll find that the amount of outfits you have will quadruple.
