Style Doctors continuously expands its range of styling experiences to keep up with the requirements of its clients. However, one of the services that’s remained virtually unchanged since we established in 2004 is the Home Visit.

The Home Visit or Wardrobe Edit as it’s also known is perfect for people who want to make the most of what they already have in their wardrobe and for those who feel like they don’t make the most of their clothes and end up wearing the same things everyday. Sound like you?

We asked one of our Dubai based personal stylists, Ayesha who rates a Home Wardrobe Edit as one of her favourite services, to talk through the service and its benefits.

Wardrobe edits are personally my favourite styling service! I enjoy them as I get to be creative and build a complete new personality of style for my clients. I get to show them new ways to use a certain item they had sitting in their wardrobe for months.

Seeing them excited to be able to style the piece they had sitting in their wardrobe for months or even years is amazing 

You don’t necessarily need to have a huge wardrobe for home wardrobe edits. The purpose is to help you to downsize and not overcrowd your wardrobe.

Ayesha's Approach / Wardrobe Edit

I advise clients to have a look at their wardrobe and pull out clothing pieces that don’t interest them & they think aren’t functional and pieces they no longer wear

  • Then we organize each and every item into different sections depending on season – undergarments, jeans, trousers, shirts, t-shirt etc

  • After organizing each section, we organize it colour wise (always light to dark, printed towards the end)

  • Now that we have everything organized – we move on to mixing & matching the outfits, creating outfits depending upon your daily lifestyle

  • Whilst this is happening we also make sure to make a list of items missing and for purchasing

  • The ‘not required’ items anymore can be donated to the nearest donation 

  • Another option I give my luxury clients is to rent their wardrobe out if the pieces are in perfect condition
